Anna Campbell Buck received her
Ph.D. in sociology from the University
of Texas
at Austin
in
2003. Her dissertation examined the
effects of religious involvement on functional health status and
mortality
among elderly Mexican Americans. She
received her B.A. and M.A. degrees in sociology from the University of Florida. After
completing a two year postdoctoral fellowship
at the Institute for Social Research at the University
of Michigan, Anna worked
as an assistant professor at the University of Central
Florida. Her
past research focuses primarily on the
relationship between religiosity and mental and physical health
outcomes,
especially among older adults and the Hispanic/Latino population. She specializes in quantitative research
methods with an emphasis on survey research and longitudinal data
analysis.
