Associate
Paul Perl received
his B.A. in English and sociology from St. Louis University. He
received a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Notre Dame,
specializing in the sociology of religion. His current academic
research with others at CARA explores effects of Catholic schooling,
public opinion in reaction to the sex abuse scandal, and the proportion
of Hispanics who are Catholic. Paul’s client-oriented work at CARA
focuses on national-level polls of lay Catholics and on surveys of
priests, particularly at the diocesan-level.
